The SafeCOM RFID Tracking system
Our unique RFID Tracking system gives a real time view of the personnel and assets on site, allowing managers to control and monitor operations. The Information processed by the system is flexible and can be used for a variety of applications either onshore or offshore in group II hazardous areas.
An overview of the system
Readers and Antennas are installed at entrances and exits to specific zones, Antennas read the RFID tags and transmit the unique information up to the server where the tracking software is hosted. These RFID tags can be ID badges or wrist straps. We have designed our RFID technology to be robust and tamper resistant whilst utilising the anti-collision technology allowing multiple tags detected by one antenna at one time. These compact lightweight tags have a 5+ year lifespan.
Up to four Antennas can be used per Reader, this means a crossroad can be covered with four directions with a single Reader. With a maximum of 420 Readers per server the system is scalable to cover most large facilities. Our certified CANBUS protocol links the readers to the server; this link can cover up to 4.5km.
As well as identifying RFID Tags the reader has 6 intrinsically safe outputs and 4 intrinsically safe inputs. These can be used for any application specific requirements such as electronic door locks or alarms.
